I have taken to writing my blog while sitting at the moneky temple, and here are a few of the guys who keep me company.
Sometimes they even come join me on my bench.
They are absolutely hilarious, and pictures will never capture just how great they are. I love how they groom each other, steal flower necklaces from the small shops, and occasionally go nuts when an intruder (monkey or dog) wanders through. This little guy was getting into trouble shaking a shop sellers box as she was trying to tempt him down with a cookie.
Though they definitely distract me from writing, I couldn’t think of a better place to spend a few hours every week.

I totally notice their personalities! I name them too in my head, but more for my amusement than anything else (“nutty monkey,” “scary big balls…”)
